Jacklyn has been with the health department for 18 years, managing many different programs. She is currently the program director for the Montana Tobacco Use Prevention Program.


The goal of MTUPP is to reduce disease, disability, and death related to tobacco use by preventing tobacco use among young people; eliminating exposure to secondhand smoke; eliminating disparities related to tobacco use and its effects among certain population groups; and promoting quitting among adults and young people.


Educating the youth regarding Big Tobacco and promotion of the MT Quit Line are two of the main objectives in reaching the above goals with follow up of any violation of the Clean Indoor Air Act.
